I hope it's okay that I'm posting this, even though I'm new--I did a search for Tucson active members, and even replied to the newest (still somewhat old) thread I found, but no one piped up.

On to the point: I'm newly diagnosed, age 41, planning to go to the Adult Asperger's support group facilitated by Tucson's Dr. Barbara Nichols. It's tomorrow (Thursday 8/2) at 6:30 p.m. at the church right across from Epic Café at the corner of 4th Ave and University (if you are in Tucson you know just where I mean). I really want to go because I really want to talk to other Aspies, especially other women and other late diagnoses, but with all the construction down there I'm daunted by the problems of parking on top of the issue of going to a novel event full of people I don't know! Scary. Anyone going? Anyone need to be shored up in their resolve to go vs. their dread of it?
