I know that not every autistic is the same, but I'm curious if autistics are more left or more right. Personally, I lean closer towards the left. I was wondering if their were any statistics on this.

I'm far right, but most on the spectrum appear to be far left.

Overall, I'd say I'm centre-right. I am far right on some issues, but I also swing left on certain topics.

I'm of the personal opinion that Aspies, like many "minorities", tend to gravitate towards at least center-left.

You are just so far right we look like we are far left.

I'm center left. I have problems with both sides but far more with the right.

Lots of lefties here.

The majority of people on this forum are left leaning, though libertarianism also seems to appeal to us. I'm centre-right with libertarian and collectivist perspectives influencing my views.

There seem to be a fairly large number of left-leaning people around here. But there are all kinds of people around, so any kind of generalization that 'all aspies are like X' is unlikely to be true.

Funny how the people here who wanna lecture us about generalizing are doing exactly what they hate by generalizing about the OP being unaware of the fact that we're all different:

Hey look, he even said he was wondering if there were any statistics on this matter, implying that he prefers not to resort to jumping to conclusions. Looks like people need to practice what they preach!

Your axe must be as dull as you, no wonder you're so desperate to grind it in a thread that hasn't even brought up any specific countries.

Neo-fascist? I wouldn't have expected that of you. You seem a libertarian type.

("Far-right" outside the U.S. tends to refer to neo-fascists, anti-semites, neo-Nazis (or those parties sympathetic to Nazism or their country's Nazi past), white nationalists/white supremacists or parties and people who are specifically and violently against an ethnic group.)

As for me, I tend to adhere to an ideology of national conservatism with liberal social views.

I identify far more with the left than the right on the majority of issues, especially social ones. In fact I regard right-wing ideology as downright evil. It is essentially the ideology of domination. They may claim to oppose big government, but they only oppose the functions of government that make society more equitable, and they often worship institutions every bit as authoritarian as any government ("deregulated" capitalism for instance). There are no right-wing libertarians as far as I'm concerned.

I am one Aspie who despises collectivism and statism on general principles. Almost every tyranny that ever was puts the State, Government or Sovereign first and individuals last.

Are near-sighted people conservative or liberal?
