There's also this thing called the Atari Flashback 3, and I have yet to get it. I take it it's pretty fun, though! :D

I grew up with MS-DOS games, notably the classic Sierra and LucasArts adventure games (King's Quest series, Police Quest series, Monkey Island series, Sam & Max Hit the Road), Apogee platform games (Commander Keen, Crystal Caves, Duke Nukem, etc.)

Because we had PC games, my brothers and I did not have any consoles (a Game Boy was the exception). Today I have a few "retro" systems, including a working 2600, and a borrowed Genesis.

I wish there was some Arcades that provided OutRun and After Burner right about now.

I am dying to play the originals.

Even though I am very young, I enjoy retro games greatly. I've always enjoyed retro games, and they are a big part of my childhood. I have amassed a fair collection of retro games.

I would love to have a retro gaming party in the future or something. :D

I only got introduced to the world of gaming through "retro" games. When I was a kid my neighbour broke his leg in four places and was stuck in his room for a few months basically, so we played SNES & N64 games. I then asked my parents for some "retro games" and they got me an atari 5200 and this "plug in & play" thing with mappy, galaga, ms. pac man, space invaders and pole position. it was absolutely brilliant and i played both of them till they broke entirely.

Has anyone tried "Cave Story"? It isn't old but has all the power of retro games in it, I think some of the people here will like it.

On a side note, I miss the good old days T_T

I also have a small collection of old-school Game Boy games. :)

I literally grew up on NES and SNES, so yeah, I love retro games. Matter of fact, my favorite games are the ones you can't beat (Jungle Strike and Prince of Persia). But honestly, if you look at all the games I have played and liked (SMB series, Prince of Persia, Sim City series, Capitalism, Democracy 2, COD, etc.), the majority would be retro by today,s stansards. So yes, I kind of am a retro gamer.

It's good, but it's not exactly what I call great...it provides a unique story and whatnot (it even gets dark as you progress through the story), but it feels like an indie game through and through rather then a retro game you'd see from the 90's.

I still <3 the original Game Boy; even though its graphics are bad compared to today's handheld games. Good times.....
