...because I make demos of the skins and display the things so much. One of my friends got me into it. it's the only game i have played and ever will play, probably. I have barely touched a video game before, lol. What do people think of that game?

Boring game is boring.

My 12 years-old daughter plays Minecraft. She loves the game. But she gets so terrified when she gets lost in the mines. Its like its real. She gets cold and everything. She needs me to comfort her and all. I have tried talking to her and telling her thats just a game and in the worst case she can start over again, but nothing works. I find that kind of sick. But thats probably because I do not play videogames.

It's not always boring.

I love it. I played it a ton up to prerelease 1.8 and the found other games to take up my time since. I know there's a lot of new things now so one day I'll venture back into the game to check them out.

I loved it back in Beta 1.5 - 1.9 or so. It got too damn complicated in the end. Why do we need smooth lighting, a hunger bar (which I must admit I don't mind as much anymore), Enderman (more pointless than Zombies, unless you count Ender pearls which I've never had to use once in the game btw) and a final boss (what is this, Final Fantasy?)

It's not for everyone. Same with any game. I tend to think RPGs (particularly JRPGs, and absolutely everything by Square) are the best cure for insomnia ever, myself. But I can still understand the appeal that others see in them.



I do alot of gaming, and I'm a big fan of Minecraft. Hooks me for quite a number of reasons. There's ALOT of things to do, be it building, adventuring, fighting monsters, exploring, crafting, whatever, and it's always getting more content. And if there's a piece of content I'd LIKE to see in the game but isnt actually there? Chances are, I can find a mod that adds that thing. I've played this absolutely to death.

So Minecraft addiction is something I understand Not for everyone, but it's a bloody excellent game nonetheless.

i play minecraft on my myPad (minecraft pocket edition). i made my house and mama's house.

Whenever I get addicted to it the only thing I can do is to play it constantly until I just get sick and tired of it. Then I go and play something else.

Minecraft is an amazing game, sure not every one likes every game, but if you enjoy it don't let anyone tell you different.

To enhance the experience, definitely check out the Minecraft wiki page, and Planet Minecraft. Both are great resources for all the cool stuff you can discover in the game.

It had also sold 6 million copies BEFORE it was even released, not many games can make that claim.
There's also a huge online fanbase. It has its own yearly convention called 'MINECON'.
Just search minecraft on youtube, you'll see the videos people have made are endless.
It's quite the phenomenon.

And it's not a big program in size. I don't think it's 10MB.
