Do abstract things and spiritual things exist in addition to physical things? Or is everything physical?

Depends on your life experiences.

I'm going to express an opinion that's unpopular here on WP. As I see it, yes they do.

Only physical things exist. There is no proof that anything else exists.

Lost where this thread was. I'd agree with this, if you want my proper answer.

What do you mean by abstract things? Example? I always struggle with this term "abstract".

I believe everything is physical in some way, but you could think of thoughts as abstract things, I suppose. Thoughts exist, I think . ;)

I think they do. However, proving that from a scientific standpoint would prove difficult.

I think a lot of things exist, but that's just me :) Sorry it probably sounds vague, but things like emotions and thoughts aren't very spiritual either and i do believe in things beyond the physical world, but that's my view :o

There is no proof that anything else doesn't exist either. Further, lack of proof does not mean lack of existence. It only means it's unproven.

That being said, I do believe there is more to this universe than what we can physically sense or replicate in a test tube or on a computer.

That is not a reasonable defence. You could say the same about unicorns and dragons that like in trees, and are waiting for Fluttershy to come to "yay" them.
