I love the music for Katamari Damacy, Loco Roco and Patapon.
All pretty upbeat, juvenile and Japanese...

I also love Nobuo Uematsu, especially the piano version of the FF7 soundtrack.
Piano version of the Golden Saucer theme...takes me to my happy place _(* - * )_

The soundtracks of The Legend of Zelda games.
Yep.
All of them.

I also love the Kingdom Hearts soundtracks, as well as the catchy themes from Super Mario Brothers, Tetris, and Megaman.

As far as creating an atmosphere goes, the sounds and music used in Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: Justine are some of my favorites. Can't wait until A Machine for Pigs.

I like the music from the Pokemon games. The Elder Scrolls games have excellent scores. I enjoyed the soundtrack from the GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas games, as well as the game Mafia, which had older music from the 1920s/1930s era. The first 3 games of the Resident Evil series had good music which set the tone/mood of the game.
