How do you get the onion smell off your hands?

I started quite a few years ago, sprinkling a little Comet cleanser with bleach on my wet hands and kind of rub it around. I wait several seconds than rinse the cleanser off. It is very effective because I hate the onion smell on my hands.

The onions or the cleanser? I take it you don't have to peel and dice onions.

Salt. Scrub your hands with table salt and water. Then wash again with soap and water.
You could try mixing the table salt with the soap. I worked in a deli a long time ago. If I remember correctly this is what got the stink off.

You can also get rid of that smell by rubbing a spoon.

CR, hope you don't mind if I clarify above.
Both onion and garlic come right off by rubbing a stainless steel spoon, or other (non sharp) stainless steel item under running water for about 20 to 30 seconds. [ :) I make garlic and onions a lot, and this works for me]

Rub your hands with lemon.
