I have problems talking when there are more then one person or any people that i don't know in a room. I find I have very little to say so i often do not speak.
I would like to communicate more, as I am mostly silent and being silent doesn't get you friends. I think being out of work for so long has hurt my communication skills more.
I don't have any regular communication except for with my parents and brothers.

So...those who have gone to therapy...
What techniques have you found helpful?
My primary goal is to improve my communication skills because i often don't get the intended message across or become too anxious or overwhelmed to talk.

Practice makes perfect, and I find that practicing casual conversation in therapy and getting completely honest feedback and suggestions can be one of the most beneficial ways to develop conversational and social skills.
