Anybody else really enjoy video game music? It's one of the things that makes the gaming experience special to me. Gets me sucked into the game world and puts me in a peaceful state of mind. What are some of your favorite video game related tunes?

Legend of Zelda music puts me in a good mood. I also like the music in the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Skyrim. It reminds me of LOTR. :)

LOVE video game music.
Especially the music from the Ecco the Dolphin Genesis games.
And Zelda.
Heck even Pokemon.
And Mario.
Video game music is the best.

I bathe in videogame music. Honestly.

If pressed, I'd probably say my favourite videogame scores would be... Halo: Reach's, the whole the Kirby games, anything by Grant Kirkhope, anything Harry Gregson-Williams has a hand in, and the Rayman Origins soundtrack, which could quite possibly be the best thing, ever. That's not hyperbole. That's just, like, straight-up fact*.

*it is hyperbole actually

Video game soundtracks are some of the best music for me. Never mind that I find games to be the best form of art altogether. Here are some that I've found to be my favorite overall:

NieR
Okami
Zelda: Majora's Mask
Zelda: The Wind Waker
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 6
Killer7
No More Heroes
Shadows of the Damned
Shadow of the Colossus
Earthbound
Mother 3
Banjo-Tooie
Super Mario Galaxy

Every time I play a game or watch someone play a game and I hear a song I like from that particular game, I always search it up on YouTube to see if someone has it then add it to favorites. On my YouTube Channel MrIAMNOTANOOB, I have a playlist dedicated to the music in the 3D Sonic games. There are so many good songs in those games that they deserve their own playlist. Ninety-eight handpicked songs from Sonic Adventure to Sonic Generations. You can help contribute if I overlooked any songs that deserve to be in the playlist. I even started uploading Videogame music myself. So far I have Destruction Derby 64 and Iridion 3D. I'm working on Iridion II next.

SNES was the best system when It came towards music. Donkey kong country 2's soundtrack is just a classic. I'm actually on a hunt for a physical copy of it now XD.

Yes and this topic keeps coming up. My favorite music from a video game is from Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. My second favorite is from Wolfenstein 3d for the Atari Jaguar which contains spiced up renditions of the music from the PC version.

Say what you will about Call of Duty's gameplay, there are some real gems hiding in the soundtrack. The Elder Scrolls has always had solid music too, particularly Oblivion. Watchman's Ease is pretty much my de facto mood calmer. Pretty much every Sonic game ever created has been stellar with music. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault had a brilliant soundtrack (one of the few I own on CD) and oh, better stop gushing...one more game...SimCity 3000. Bite me.
