I've been watching several documentaries about autism today and noticed that a whole lot of the kids on there had buck teeth. More had them than didn't. I also had pretty big, buck teeth as a child but got braces and thats all corrected now.

I am wondering if folks on the spectrum may be more prone to that than others, or maybe it's just a coincidence that more of the kids in those particular documentaries have them. Either could be true.

Who else had them?

slight overbite, no buck teeth. Nothing worth getting corrected.

I had severe buck teeth as a child, until I got braces. I still have an overbite.

I had buck teeth and an overbite which were corrected with braces when I was in middle school, and I had them until my freshman year in high school. The fact that I had braces was why I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed at 16, since a couple of them were impacted. I still have a slight overbite, but no buck teeth since that was corrected from the braces.

My front teeth are pretty bucked. My "friends" in school used to call me "bucky beaver"!

Kids at school used to call me "Bugs Bunny" and one of my friends compared me to the green airplane from "Jay jay the Jet Plane":

Unfortunately, even as a baby I had them quite bad
I think this is when the mocking and bullying started

I don't have either. A dentist when I was a kid told me I had a perfect bite. Never knew what she meant until recently.

I don't think I ever had buck teeth, but I do have a modest underbite. Unfortunately, it can only be fixed via surgery.
