You know how you get that thing where you feel like you're watching yourself in a movie? When you watch movies of someone else having a meltdown, real or fictional, there's always some kind of musical selection to heighten the drama of the scene. The pattern I'm recognizing is a vague instrumental soundtrack with prominent guitar in minor chords playing during the self-injuring phase. Does this serve a purpose other than to fuel the negative emotions to continue the self-abuse? Because I SAH don't want anyone to see me in that state

A lot of people with ADHD have noticed that they have music playing in their head (me included). If I take my meds it helps. I take one that is an antidepressant for ADHD but it seems to help with the other symptoms of my Asperger's.
