Agreed. Funny how JakobVirgil refuses to back up his claim that most people are basically good.

It possibly does cause growth, but not for those that are paying the price for that inequality.

Which really is the point.

Overall growth, or GDP is a highly flawed and unreliable measure of the average living standard of a country. The United States is the richest yet a higher proportion of people in countries like Norway and Sweden 'get it better'.

Most people are not Good. They are not evil either. They are fixated on their own immediate interests and sometimes miss the big picture.. The worst shortfall of humanity is not evil, it is silliness.

Growth rates were higher in the more equal Keynesian era than in the more unequal neoliberal era.

True, but still I can not find a correlation between Gini and Growth either way it is as flat as Kansas.

HA! Gotcha! Now I no longer have to use the title "The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel". For great justice...

Found a paper that covers the subject.
Nov 10, 2009 – Fisher, B. and J.D. Erickson, “Growth and Equity: Dismantling the Kaldor-Kuznets-Solow Consensus"

I guess I 'm not the first one to notice it.
