12, as I did the first time I took this test. I think the first time I didn't have an idea, this time there were a few I just missed out on, I would have got nearer to 20 with a second guess.

28.

A lot of those seemed really easy though. A lot of times the eyes were looking away, and there was only one "looking away" emotion on the list. Give me a looking away face and ask me to pick between embarrassed, guilty, etc. and I wouldn't do as well.

Yes.
I thought a lot of them there was descriptions that were leading. A choice of three strong emotions and one neutral when there was little expression in the eyes, and as you say above.

Several of them looked like the same picture (female) with different descriptions to choose from. I guessed a lot of them going for the nearest thing when none of them seemed right.

I agree. I ended up getting a 28 too which really surprised me, but I tried to come up with the emotions on my own first, and they all just looked like a creeper, like they were just staring blankly with no emotion, or angry, and none of those were listed as options. So like you, I just ended up guessing from the list, but it seemed like most of the time all of the other options were -way- off, so I picked the only one I could see as being a possibility.

I also used M/C process of elimination to answer a lot of them. Most of them when I first looked at them I saw no emotion , I expected to see neutral expression in the choices, so I was able to eliminate the strong emotions "agast" "angry" etc. and to choose something like "fantasizing". I wish we had these kind of M/C choices in real life! I also wish we had the extra time. Just like during M/C exams when I let myself take more time I did better (26 vs 19). It said to be as fast as you can though......
