For those of you in the UK, the BBC have recently broadcast a documentary titled The Growing Pains of A Teenage Genius which focuses on an (inevitably) gifted thirteen year old maths genius recently diagnosed with AS. It is available on iPlayer at the moment.
It seems as if the vast majority of "aspies" are from the UK, or are at least of English decent. Probably explains why they hate the loud and boisterous Irish so much.

I met him in real life (I live in the same town as him.) I use to go to the same school as him and let me tell you that school is Asperger's hell. I was bullied there like hell and the members of staff are absolutely crap at dealing with bullying and don't understand Autism in the slightest! This documentary is practically just giving the school a boost in its already too high ego! I'm sorry I just went off on a tangent there but I needed to say that.

Just a quick point - this documentary is actually a year old and was originally broadcast last year. It was a repeat. I'm looking for a copy floating around the web to share here, but I doubt I'll find one.

Any links to the programe? or video? keywords to search for?
Is the summary that the documentary shows how gifted he is in some areas, and not others. And that the school is given the oppertunity to really show off, but is in reality crap?
Or does the documentary show something substantial new?
Btw, if the school suck. Please type the name of it so other aspies may be warned by search engines.

Darland High School. Stay well away. They may look pretty and fancy at first but it's famous for its bullying problems and Aspies seem to be the most common victims. The members of staff don't know how to handle bullying in the slightest and know crap about Autism.
