Quality went the way of the dinosaur when 'planned obsolescence' came into vogue. Good for business, bad for everyone else and the environment.

Which is another thing that irks me. Stuff years ago used to be built to last (and provided jobs for people to service these goods as well as manufacturing them and their parts.) Plus it was not uncommon for this stuff to last 50 years or so. Now stuff breaks easy and fast because it's intentionally made cheap (so it forces you to buy again) and then these cheap things end up in the landfill, as it's worthless to fix them. :x

Ha. My parents always said/say that, but they call it "built-in obsolescence'. Damn shame.

People,
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
Were children needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers
Are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person,
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.

So where are they supposed to do that in? I was taught to cover your mouth when I was a kid.

The sleeve. Although sometimes it can be difficult, especially when you're standing on a crowded bus and holding onto your bags with one hand and holding onto the railing with another.

I usually cough or sneeze into my sleeve whenever I do.

Returning to subject, I always hate it whenever me, my mom and my sister watch syndicated episodes of old TV shows. As much as I want to say, "Why are we watching this? This show is so old!", I always believe that what I will say will backfire.

Example:

Me: "Mom, is there anything else on? This show is so old!"

My Sister: "Bro, shut up! If you don't want to watch this, go to your room and do something else."

My Mom: "The other channels air nothing but crap. This show is a classic, so why are you whining for?"

People who make sure I follow the rules, but the rules never apply to them.

Guys walking around with their pants hanging halfway down their butts.

People that shove their views down your throat and hurl abuse/threats at you if you don't agree with them.

People that bully others.

Judgmental people.

Waitresses at casual restaurants shoving the bill in your face before you're even halfway through eating your meal... and the place is nearly empty!

Liars.

People who think the world revolves around them.

People that need to build their self esteem by taking it away from others.

Raging meanness, arrogance and rudeness.

People who claim to love God but won't follow even the most basic principles of being good to their fellow man.

People who discriminate against other people.

Manipulative people.

Anyone who thinks killing living things is a sport.

People who purposely say and do things to hurt others' feelings, then get angry if they are called out for it.

People who are overly snarky, constantly critical and insulting of others.

People who expect me to be an emotionless doormat.

Breast-feeding publicly.

No justification for it.

The few demanding the right to do what they CHOOSE to do, while disregarding the feelings of others.

And the entire breast-feeding crusade.

Formula is the gift of balanced nutrition for a child, especially low-income women who can't or don't always eat right, and is the gift of freedom to women who need or want to return to work.

The pressure to chain new mothers to their kids 24/7 is appalling......how can they not see the brainwashing and guilt/manipulation?
