A bunch of blokes to clamber all over my roof repairing it and replacing damaged roof tiles. £1,500, but 1/10 the price of a new roof.

A yoga matt. £2.99 from Aldi. I was well pleased as I've been scouting around for one for a while but didn't want to pay a lot.

Only Fools And Horses DVD box set.

This contains the whole of Series 1-7, over 36 hours in total. It's in mint condition, and was £8 at CEX. Virtually being given away, an absolute bargain. Then I saw the same item being offered post-free at £5 on Ebay.

Clearly some staggeringly good deals available in the secondhand DVD market in the UK. Many of these items cost four or five times as much new at places like HMV.

Havent bought anything for myself in a while.

But as soon as I save enough money I plan to order a pair of beautiful wooden carved statues from Etsy's website (and they're made in Ukraine so the money will go towards a good cause).

One is a statue of Hades aka Pluto the Greek/Roman God of the Dead and the other is Lilith the Jewish folkloric Mother of Demons and first mate of Adam.

I have both of these powerfully dark planets (Pluto and Black Moon Lilith) in my Midheaven under Scorpio in my natal chart. The King of the Underworld meets the Queen of Hell, no wonder I can feel the power of darkness inside me! :skull:

Our Friends In The North

A dvd box set of a series first broadcast in 1996, dealing with developments in the British Labour Party from the 1960s to the mid 1990s. Interesting in view of the fact that this was on the eve of the first Blair Labour government in 1997, which has had significant repercussions ever since for the UK for good or ill, depending on your political point of view.
