I've played both Portal and Portal 2. I have to say that IMO the original is much better.

In Portal 2 you can pretty much only place the portals on places where you have to place them, the challenge is just in finding those locations. In the original Portal you have a lot more freedom with regards to the placement of portals and the puzzles seem harder.

Portal 2 felt to me like they made the original Portal more suitable for younger kids to play (easier and that annoying Wheatley character).

SO much fun! If you haven't already, you should try two-player - it's just as good as single-player. Damn, I want to play Portal 2 now

Yes, beat it, and it's great. I like Portal 2 better so far (didn't beat it yet) because it seems to be longer. But... The jokes are funnier in the original

Someone I know may give me portal 2, but I'm not sure I will like the vanilla version... Does anyone know any mods they can recommend to make Portal 2 more interesting?

I played Portal 1 and 2 with my boyfriend and loved it. He even got me a Portal top like Chell's for Christmas.
