A prime number is one that is not divisible by any other integer except itsself and one. The first few being 1,2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23.

1 isn't considered a prime number. It used to be, but it's more convenient to say it's not prime.

2, is my almost favorite, because it's odd that it's even. :D But 3 is the most satisfying since it feels like such a steady, building block sort of number.

I don't really have a favorite prime number.

I misspoke. My favorite prime number is '3', but not because it is prime.

Years ago in an undergraduate math class, I fell asleep and the teacher woke me up by asking me a question. I started to answer '3' but didn't because I figured the real answer was probably something like 2*p^2+q^2. It turned out that the answer really was '3'.

Ever since, when someone asks me a question, no matter what the topic, I tend to answer '3'.
