If the knowledge of gun craft is not eliminated then guns have not really been destroyed. Just recycled.

There is no greater fear for the oppressive despot than an armed populace.

Murdering with a gun is no different than murdering with a bat or a knife. Someone dies in the end.

The prepared militia seeks to keep it's own leaders in check, as well as the enemies of the state.

The first action of oppressive regimes is to disarm it's citizens.

The world would be no better off if you took guns out of the picture.

It's alot more difficult for someone to kill multiple people at a school if all they have is a knife.

fuel doesnt burn hot enough to melt most metal guns.

And as someone said before, why would we want guns gone? The problem isnt in the guns, its in the violent nature of humans. Weve been more than handily mass murdering each other for thousands of years before guns existed. Heck, before the stuff that allowed guns to be made existed. And with guns gone wed still find a way to do it. So why not just keep the guns anyways?

Why would you do that?

Do you magically think that eliminating all guns would solve problems? Do you think that removing guns would stop criminals from committing crimes?

If you do, your sadly, sadly mistaken.

Take away Firearms(Explosives ect) We'd use Bows and a swords again, Take way those we'd use a wooden spear, Take away that we'd kill each other with rocks. Take our rocks away!. . . All hail our Shoalin overlords.

It's in our nature to fight. You want the world to be a better place? Find away to kill half of the human emotions.

I was referring to Jitro's post above mine:

Try to keep up with the rest of us.

It's also much harder for an innocent victim to defend him/her self against an attacker who is twice his/her size with a knife.

You know, might just be me but I would actually like to see everyone walking around with swords again.

I honestly can't understand why people went from carrying a weapon at all times and learning to protect themselves to relying on a small group of thinly spread, moderately trained, often abusive people to protect them.
It boggles the mind.

Also cloaks, I don't understand why people stopped wearing cloaks. Cloaks are awesome.

If you find a way to destroy all guns plus erasing all knowledge about them... no that's simply not possible, Even then, someone would probably invent them again.

Cloaks were to protect the wearer from the elements. Basicly as we devolped better fabrics and materials cloaks became obsolete.

Because, as it has been alluded to in this thread, it's much easier to keep an unarmed populace at bay.

Liberals have neither the ability to consider unforeseen consequences of their actions, nor the ability to think more than one move ahead.
