Trust takes time.

Absolutely correct. For some people it takes longer than others; I'm a very trusting person, following the belief that everyone is trustworthy until they prove themselves otherwise.

Sure, there's a chance people can take advantage of me with that kind of an attitude, but I say it's worth the risk. What do you think?

I agree. I am naturally trusting, and yes it sometimes gets me in trouble, but it also allows people to open up to me more bc they know that I am not going to judge them and I trust them to do what's best.
