Guillermo Calderon Stell in Mexico was the master of this. He would lift dialogue and situations from his older movies he made though once he decided to lift dialogue directly from an Avengers episode and he also made a movie called Batwoman with the Batwoman's costume looking quite a bit like Batman's. The one with the Avenger episode stuff shoehorned next to dialogue lifted from one his own movies about brain transplants, a gorilla-man and female wrestlers helped create something unique.

Moonraker was the biggest Bond movie ever after it came out even thought it was the most critically despised, and the Spy Who Loved Me was seen as the movie that saved the Bond franchise and created a template for the future. After one movie like it they decided it was too silly...
