When someone says you remind me of a paritcular person.... what does that mean in more depth?

He/she is saying that you remind of them, probably most likely appearance-wise of someone they know.

I think the best person to ask is the person that said it.

I don't think there's any way to know what they specifically meant. That is my first question to people that have said it to me.

Not sure why you didn't? It's not a rude question. It's the most common response to a comment like that.
