I know somewhat of what it takes to become a sniper. Anti's rarely have what it takes to fill that role.

Obviously, they should be arrested and punished to whatever degree the law specifies. It doesn't matter whether the recipient is the leader of the American Nazi party, threats like this cannot be tolerated.

I think there's way too much drama around this whole shooting incident, honestly... not to sound insensitive, as I realize the effect it has had on the people involved.

They're probably just idle threats, then.

I tried to dox him myself, didn't have the heart to do it.

He is in the business of making sure people can make credible death threats-it's a tragedy that he isn't always being threatened with death, then he can have an excuse to carry around his precious rifle all the time.

They might be anti-gun, but what if they're part of the pro-bomb or pro-anthrax-letter lobby. Until they all merge together to form the pro-domestic terrorist attack lobby, there will be competition.

We need better gun control so that the people making the threats had more difficulty in fulfilling them.

Why? If an anti is shooting at you, the safest place to be would be in their crosshairs.

The logistics of them setting themselves up to be snipers would refute many of their beliefs.

In some states, carrying a loaded rifle on your person in public is legal, but you never hear about shootings resulting from it. Dox is in the recreation and self defense business. It's a big time (i.e. going away) felony to help someone commit a violent crime or terrorist act.

I think he meant "dox" in the hacker's vernacular, someone's personal info, or "docs". I was ignorant of the term too when I created this account, though it's proven ironic on occasion.

The NRA does have quite a lot of political clout, and controls the agenda of the Repugnican Party.

All this talk about "gun grabbers" threatening NRA members is unfair. I seriously think the people issuing the threats are the equivalent of their gun nut counterparts who really represent no one, and are easily recognizable as social misfits. Groups advocating gun control are no more going to make threats against anyone's lives than the NRA are.

They are also members of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which is responsible for getting most lobbyist-backed proposals passed.

Actually the last three high profile shootings where people carrying loaded rifles on their persons.

When I said "dox" I meant "obtain and spread personally identifiable information." It's how talk radio hosts make death threats without making death threats.
