Yes, depending on how long they've been dead, the cause of death, and how much of their bodies are left to revive.

At normal room temperature (circa 70 degrees) if the brain goes without O2 for more than two minutes it is game over.

Thus making any efforts to revive the corpse extremely dependent on how long it's been dead.
