At 05:00 GMT yesterday Jan 3, 2013 the earth reached its perihelion point in its yearly trip around the Sun.

Happy Perihelion to all of you until Jan 4 2014.

What "perihelion day" songs are there that they could play on the radio?

There is the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun", The Classics IV "Sunny", and Soundgarden "Blackhole Sun" maybe.
