I know not everyone here is interested in this kind of thing, but for those that are, this topic is for you! I thought it would be nice to have a place to post about our recent purchases, fashion idols, outfits we're wearing, items we're lusting over, as well as give and receive fashion advice.

I'll kick things off by posting some things I find particularly inspiring!

I'm not really into fashion, but I think it's interesting to see what catches someone's eye. Here are a few that work for me. I hope it kinda fits in with the idea of the thread (I certainly can't give advice, that's for sure!!).

Simplistic vintage style:

The tough chick look:

Ties on women (and hats too, but hyperlexian covered that):

Haha, you've got the right idea, don't worry! Though discussion doesn't have to be limited to just pictures. I love vintage fashion too, though I'm more inclined to 90's inspired styles (and find it hilarious that the clothes I wore in primary school are now considered "vintage").

I love chicks in suits and would love to have one tailored some day. Janelle Monae pulls the look off beautifully:

Sorry, I don't know why two of the image links don't work. I used the same procedure.

^^^i fixed a couple of the links, it was just some formatting links at the end of the "jpg" tags that didn't need to be there and made the link unusable

I still am partial to grunge, not just because everything was loose and comfy. :) I do like clean lines and no fuss like the second pic.

I found a good way to wear skinny jeans :D Go up a size or 2. I tried on some in my size because they were the only corduroys in the store and they were more like "skanky" jeans. Then I tried the next size up and they look AWESOME!

(I know, I'm too old to talk like that, but I'm also too old for skinny jeans.)

LovingTheAlien, those are absolutely stunning, they're like works of art! Man, I'd love to have a 3D printer. The things I could do!

MjrMajorMajor, I love grunge too. I love the layering of different, slouchy fabrics, and yes, it's all very comfortable!

Awesome topic. = ) I love fashion, and I'm completely obsessed with shoes. Some of my favorites...platform sneakers, 5 inch stilettos w chains, wedge boots, stiletto boots with tread, platform boots, strappy sandals with sparkles...the list is endless really. ; ) Sorry I still have to figure out how to post pics in the message.

Upload your picture to a site like http://tinypic.com or http://imgur.com and copy and paste the link they give you that's inside the [img] tags.

More people should post what they're wearing! Here's me in what is probably the best item of clothing I own, it's the first time I've worked up the guts to wear it (it's very, very see-through)!
