She asked me who someone was on Designing Women. I said I didn't know, I never watched it and don't like it.

She asked, "did you half like it?"

I knew what she meant and I thought it was funny.

That almost got a cheap chuckle out of me. I don't think your wife had any malicious intent behind that (though I'm not completely sure). As long as you're cool with it. Maybe next time make a come back with a stereotype loosely related to a group she is a part of.
