I do not have the resources to obtain an official Autism diagnosis yet. Incomplete psychiatric evaluation(vocational rehab. eval., focused on workplace issues) diagnosed me with social communication disorder(I believe the catch all because he didn't have enough info to make Autism dx), major depression, and general anxiety disorder. Most likely OCD as well, but no diagnosis there.

Dunno. How many are listed in the DSM-V? Probably that number.

I know I might have at least one, with a potential list of others that have not been diagnosed.

List of confirmed comorbidities:
- ADHD: I remember being diagnosed or co-diagnosed with ADHD at some point during the first grade. I had to take Ritalin and Strattera, well-known ADHD treatments, but had to stop because the former gave me blood pressure issues and for reasons that are hard to remember for the latter. I have not taken any medication for this disorder or discussed it with a psychiatrist since the third grade, which was almost ten years ago. (I'm 17 now.)

List of possible comorbidities:
- Depression, which may or may not have been an effect of my parents' less than ideal relationship after their divorce. I'd rather not go into detail about it.
- Insomnia, which I'm certain I have, though this might just be a symptom of my AS.

Let's see;

- generalized anxiety disorder
- panic disorder
- severe depression
- borderline personality disorder
- paranoid personality disorder
- avoidant personality disorder
- dependent personality disorder (my parents)
- insomnia

Probably more that I'm forgetting.

Just general anxiety. I also have insomnia sometimes, but that's a subset of the anxiety.

I don't consider synesthesia, racing thoughts and weirdness as psychiatric conditions. They're quite harmless. :) People I know might say I probably have this or that, but since those don't bother me, they're not problems.

Dear lord, I'm having a cynical laughter moment considering these lists. :? :(

Major Depression
Dyscalculia
Agoraphobia

are my three major problems. I am terribly bad with numbers and I often have to use my fingers to do basic addition. I get extremely tired and anxious when I leave my home, and major depression has pretty much always been there, and I speculate it's what led into my agoraphobia, since the sadness never gave me enough energy to deal with everyday life.

It's just sad how we racket up illnesses with time.

Anxiety disorder and depression as standard.... if you want your autism served without them, you have to ask at the counter when they take your order.

Some form of sleep disorder... It's something I already have since age 8. It's the only consistent issue I got.
Doesn't stem from psychological issue, it stems from my breathing issue with chronic sinusitis since age 5 -- remained untreated for decades. So, maybe a form of sleep apnea, or a form of insomnia or both.

On some occasions, I got lucky at night as if any sleep disorder didn't kicked in that one night sleep. Therefore, no 'usual' consequences. So I'd know what was like to be an autistic and not have a comorbid.

Yeah, I got rid of anxiety at age 16 or so. Checked the physical signs and the subtle kinds even. It doesn't match nor made sense with my current situation.
'Depression' isn't permanent in my case nor happens often enough for me mention. Does being depressed less than total of less than one and a half week every year counts? They're all situational depression, not the biochemical one that spans for weeks or more.

And possible other comorbids are either too weak to be considered a comorbid. At worst, I would've have a form of language learning disability, yet I didn't. Even my executive dysfunction and emotional immaturity disappears for some reason.
Or even existed. Or not permanent/just happens and stops for some reason. Sometimes none of these exists or happens at all -- mine is likely about hormonal change than psychological. Unless you wanna count chronic sinusitis as a 'comorbid'.

ADHD and dysthymia (sp).

I was diagnosed with ADHD a year before autism and back then the DSM-IV didn't allow the two disorders to occur together. Autism was seen as more severe so I went with that but I still took medication for ADHD.

The DSM 5 allows ADHD and autism to occur together and I'm glad it does.

Right now I've got something which feels burn-out-ish or maybe PTSD-ish and I'm calling "my nervous system is buggered", but the GP assures me this is mixed anxiety/depression. Whatever.
I've counted this as one co-morbid.

I've been diagnosed with Schizoid Personality disorder.

I probably have some form of ADHD----most likely the "inattentive" type.

I also have an eating disorder.

I have a diagnosis of Bipolar I. I'm not sure what else, though. I was never even told I had Bipolar until I read it on a profile sheet from my clinic in my mid-20s.

According to the assessment, I'd be diagnosed with ADD if I were not autistic... as it is, it's considered a co-morbid.
