I hate snow. It is wet, cold, dangerous and causes accidents. Anything that falls from the sky is bad news. Possibly an exacerbating factor in my dislike of snow is my dyspraxia and the increased likliehood of a fall.

What is your views?

I do not know if that is such a problem outside the british isles. Unfortunately we are a nation of selfish animal owners.

I am no fan of snow now, it's slippery when hard, slippery when it melts and freezes to ice, and I'm never sorry to see it go.
It causes accidents here too, which is embarrassing considering that we're traditionally a winter country. We're in the grip of winter nearly half the year, yet the first snow always comes as a complete surprise for car owners and truck drivers.

I enjoyed playing in the snow when and having snowball fights as a child though. Up to about 13 years of age. Then I just thought it was a pain.

Yeah that's a problem here too. I don't like yellow snow either. :eew:

The reflected light hurts my eyes. It causes traffic problems, I have to shovel snow.

That said, it gets rid of bugs, it regulates the water cycle, and it's nice to look at for awhile.

In the balance, I like snow, I don't like blizards or ice.

I love snow. I love to go out in it as it's fallen and just stare up into it like I'm flying through space (a big reason I'm not allowed to drive in it). I would go out in light shorts and t-shirt, barefoot, and not care. I do it with rain too.

i should also mention I hate skiers. They (especially british amateurs) epitomise middle class buffoonery and squander.

why would someone go to a country like france, germany or austria, rich with art, culture, history and heritage only to spend the 2 weeks risking life and limb, sliding down a hill and spending most of the time on your ass? Its the height of ignorance.

apparently so is extreme cliff diving and untethered mountain climbing.

Why not give that a go as well?

I have that problem, especially on fields or other places where there are blankets of snow. Streets are way easier

I love the snow. I have always played in it and it would cancel school and I didn't have to worry about homework. But when we moved to Montana, it got boring because schools never got cancelled so snow wasn't a special thing anymore unless we had a snow storm because schools would close. Plus it stayed cold all the time and it would get below zero and I hated that but I loved the snow but it wasn't the same. It was there all the time in the fall and winter off and on until February, It would be rare if we got snow in the spring and it would last a few days and melt. I remember the time it snowed in the summer once when we were visiting and I had just turned nine then. But that never happened when we lived there.

If you are a amateur skier, I wholeheartedly encourage you.

Especially if you're a brit with a turtleneck sweater and a gravel driveway with the little lights up the side.
