I think I have ten or twenty of the "newer" star wars (episodes IV, V, and VI, back when they were releasing new toys for the re-release) action figures. I had completely forgotten about them until I read this thread. They're in boxes... somewhere. It'd be nice if I remember them again when they're worth obscene amounts of money.

I collected G.I. Joe action figures a few years ago. Looking back, it was a waste of money, but it gave me joy at the time.

I was obsessed with Star Wars action figures, when I was five. My mum wouldn't buy them for me, because she didn't want me living in a Fantasy World.

My son (he'll be 8) is collecting DragonballZ and starting with Naruto a bit at the moment...mom here is feeding the need and actually enjoying it alot herself. We've already "collected" a huge amount of DragonballZ episodes on tape.

I have a large collection of classic Transformers (the original toyline) and the newer stuff (Armada and Energon, but not Cybertron), but my major, all-consuming passion at the moment is Marvel Legends/Marvel Select and DC Direct comic-book action figures - I have about £2000's-worth of them on display in my room. They're all out of their boxes, so they'll be worth peanuts in the future... but they're mine, so I don't care :)

On my "place of honor"(my desk in my library) I have some action figures mixed in with other stuff:
two figures from Dragonball Z
two figures from Escaflowne
Okay, now I gotta go look......
Pikachu
Batman
Superman
(although Batman rules)
And I had one large one from the movie Small Soldiers, but he keeps disappearing...

I used to have a Spiderman one, when I was four. That was 28 years ago.
