I'm new, here, and I just wanted to say hello. So... Hi, I guess. I suppose I don't have anything more to say. Or should I say "I don't have anything more to type?"

Gee, thanks. I wasn't expecting anyone to reply this quickly. You guys must post at light-speed. Or is that just how these online forums work?

The thread title reminds me of an event a number of years ago. An incoming freshman managed to get a list of every e-mail address hosted on the main university server -- something like 30,000 of them.

He then sent nearly everyone at the university an e-mail message saying hello.

The results were pretty funny. He got told not to do it again and that ended the matter.

Out of 70,000, the odds must be pretty good that you'd get some quick replies.

There are also certain times of the day when posts seem to draw responses faster. Dragoness seems to have timed that pretty good.

That was quick, by this forum's standards. Sometimes it might be a few hours until there's a reply...like now ;)
Welcome :)

Where did you get the 70'000 number from?

In the upper left-hand corner of the page, in small letters it says "WP Members: > 70,000." I assumed that was an accurate estimate of the members, so I typed that in.
