I am aware of the main 5 forms on the Autism Spectrum. However, a friend of mine thought she saw a deeper subcategory of Autism. Are there others other than the main 5?

The 5 types described in the DSM-IV would be the only "official" ones.

I have seen informal subtypes of Aspergers described by Alan Sohn in Parenting Your Aspergers Child.

Thanks for the reply :) I didn't think there were others. Is this a book you speak of?

Yes, it's a book for parents, and focused on how AS presents in children (primarily boys). The author gives the subtypes names like "Logic Boy", "Fantasy Boy", and "Primarily ADHD".
