Is it true that Walmart are running out of food to fill their shelves.

Max Keiser was talking about them today. Walmart is an expert on squeezing supplies, but now their luck has run out
and they cannot do it anymore. Now Walmart employees are facing mass
unemployment as a result after killing off the competition.

Is Walmart the only big player in the State. Here in England, Tesco and Sainburys are dominant.
We also got Budget supermarkets, Lidl ,Audi and Summerfields and the Premium supermarket Waitrose, I only
ever see senior citizens in Waitrose, Its like the middle age and the young cant afford to shop there.

Oddly enough, I was in Walmart the other day and their liquor section was pretty much cleared out. I suspect that it may of had something to do with St. Patrick's Day however.

Our Mal Wart has plenty of food.I hate them anyway. The old dude Sam Walton was pretty cool but when he died greed took over.
And we have other grocery stores,Harps,Country mart,Aldi, and locally owned stores such as Hudsons and Edwards, been in the area since my mom was little.

Goodness, no. Wal Mart is far from the only retailer in the U.S. Wal Mart is the biggest, but there are plenty of other competitors. Wal Mart actually has just a tiny fraction of the U.S. retail market, although only Target offers the same scope of goods, at least that I am aware of. Safeway and Kroger are the most ubiquitous supermarket chains, but there are hundreds of others, many of them local or regional. There is also Aldis and a host of other value chains. On the high end, there is Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, and I am sure other regions have their own chains. My city just got a Trader Joe's, although no one really likes it.

There are countless department stores. And the likes of Wal Mart and other brick and mortar stores are coming under threat by Internet retailing. It is impossible to dominate U.S. retail, except in very specific niches.

Wish we had those in Tennessee.

There was a bill in the state legislature to allow wine in grocery stores, but it died in committee, as it has for the last three years in a row. Naturally liquor stores lobbied against it.

Also has things to do with Tennessee culture. There are still counties there where it is illegal to buy alcohol, Ironically you can't legally buy Jack Daniels whiskey where it is made.

Wal-mart is far from the only retailer. They seem to be doing well and the the only thing they are chronically short on is bullets due to recent political tension causing nationwide shortages.

Finding size large sweatpants being carried in stock was a pain too, but stereotypes exist for a reason!

How much are bullets in the states. Unfortunately, UK the socialist dictator is the only one allowed to own guns.
Just try talking about guns to a UK girl. You will end up Gynophobic.

9mm are about $35 for 100. 12 gauge target shells are about $25 for 100. I think .223 are about $22 for 40 and bigger rifle calibers are about $20 for 20. While there is a shortage, walmart and some other companies are rationing how many boxes people can buy from them per day (when it's in stock), but there's no limit on how much ammunition people can own.

Walmart is doing great. It is not having any problems. In January and February is when they fire people, then they hire workers mainly in march and april. So in the slow months it can be hard for the stretched departments to be able to keep everything stocked. Liquor and other very well known brands such as pepsi have vendors that come in and stock the shelves.

I went in to a gun shop a few days ago and they wanted $39 for a 50 round box of 9mm FMJ!!
I won't be going in there again for anything because I know that's way over the top.
Normally I reload for that caliber (and others) but it's even hard to find projectiles now.

I always found Wal-Mart to be an unpleasant place packed with unpleasant people, like McDonald's. You guys should come to Beaufort County, South Carolina.
