When did you move out from you parents house/"childhoodhouse", or if you not have moved out, when do you plan to do it?

I move out when I turn 18 and I CANT wait! 8)

Many move out from their parent's house at an early age, but in today's bad economy, from what I've observed, most move back in . . . some temporarily, others permanently.

I haven't moved out yet, but I intend to as soon as possible (after I finish university in a few months' time). I really need my own space. I put down my current age (21).

technically moved out at 19 when I started university, though that was only six months or so each year. now, at 24, me and some other people are sharing a more permanent house here, and I've started making friends in the area that I'll want to see over the summer, I'm spending gradually less time with my parents, but I don't feel like I've totally moved out yet.

I moved in with y girlfriend when I turned 30. I have some various physical disabilities that would make living on my own difficult.

The first time when I got married at 18 and we moved out, then we moved back in about 6 months later because he wouldn't work and I couldn't support us because he always had my car. Then we divorced and I stayed at home still and moved out of state with my husband now when I was 21.

I moved out when I'd just turned 19 because I wanted to be independent and couldn't stand living with my family. Over the past five years I've lived in seven different places just in Sydney. I've shared with friends, a boyfriend, total strangers and on my own. The worst experience was sharing for a year with my best friend at the time, she was always at home or having people over or wanting to hang out, I had no space to myself and that became very stressful, eventually ruining our friendship. I never want to go into a share house again. I have my own place at the moment, just me and with my cat, very quiet and spacious, it's perfect. Perhaps it's part of my Aspergers but I find it impossible to relax when I'm sharing space with other people and their mess, noise, friends, moods, demands, etc.

I didn't, everyone else moved out or died, so now I have the house to myself and have no need to move.

What constitutes moving out? I was living without my parents for the first time when I moved in with a boyfriend in 2008 at age 20. I later lived in homeless shelters and mental hospitals and my parents' place and now I live at a supervised apartment building for women with homelessness and/or mental health issues.
