Apparently North Korea is getting ready to hit American bases in South East Pacific.

It's because even that paste-eater running NK knows that the current US commander in chief is a p***y.

Did they forget what happened last time the US was attacked in the Pacific?

He was probably taught a story about it that is entirely fantasy.

North Koreans probably hate the Japanese more than they hate the Americans.

North Korea is the world's largest cult (yes, they practice leader worship) and it takes incredibly tight control of information and an amount of propaganda that the western world has a hard time understanding to keep those people believing that North Korea is by far the greatest nation on earth, and will eventually rule the world. Kim Jong Un's grandfather led Korea's (then united) resistance against Japanese rule. It would be well within North Korea's normal behavior to teach that they led the fight against Japan while everyone else cowered. There are only a couple people outside of the Kim family with access to foreign news and information, and they don't dare break ranks from the official party line.

With U.S. stealth bombers flying over North Korea it makes sense why they'd have their rockets alert and ready to fire.

You mean those bases of already limited strategic value?

Alright, so I know little and care equally of these military matters, but if Idiot Korea and its cultists wanted to make real threats, they'd point the rockets to the Cardinal Southeast.

It becomes a police action and SK will have a hard time defending the 38th parallel from a flood of refugees that could make the economy collapse.

I don't think they entered NK airspace, I think they got close and made their presence known. It was in response to their threats about a nuclear attack on the US west coast. It's best not to wait until they have a combat ready warhead and a rocket that's more dangerous to the target than it's own ground crew before we back them down. I hope we don't re-negotiate a deal for more grain again.

which is easier- further negotiations to buy time, or the alternative?
