How many people actually refer to themselves as an Autie? (does anyone know where that name started just out curiousity)
How do you pronounce "autie"?

Does anyone refer to themselves as an Aspie?
Or do you refer to yourself as yourself
Or would you rather not refer to yourself with a nickname firstly associating you directly with a categoried grouping of people.

I have never even considering referring to myself as a nickname associated with any group.
I am an individual at a loss to describe this right now.

I am me and refuse to identify with a nickname associated with a group.

And that goes for everything; religion, politics etc..

I'm just me. Labels pile up on top of each other and get really confusing... I don't really understand group identity. I get it as a concept, sort of, but I don't feel it.

I think you say it like "ought" and then the "ie" part like the "ea" in tea. Not sure though.

.. :?

The etymology of "Autie," is pretty simple. It's a shortened form of the word "Autistic." It's pronounced like the first syllable of "Autistic," + "E." "Aut-E."

aspie or autistic are part of my online identity, while only name or nickname IRL.

I pronounce autie like the word "ought" followed by "ee".
