Really good art!! ! Were these done on the computer, or drawn on paper?

What kinds of computer art software are there? How much do they cost?

If anyone has examples for both PCs and Macs, that would be great!

Tim

Adobe Photoshop CS2

Adobe Illustrator CS2

They cost quite a lot, but I didn't get them legally if you catch my drift.

Check out www.adobe.com

But when you get the program, you'll need to study it's features for quite some time.

That's some good work... going towards your portfolio?
And, yeah, agreed on Photoshop's learning curve... I've been using PS since v2.0LE for the Mac and I still find stuff that makes me go "Oh, hey, never noticed that.... neat!"

I had a 20 page strong port folio ready for TAFE for my Visual Communications course and I wasn't accepted :(

Photoshop CS2 retails for $999 CDN at Futureshop.
Can't really say much about it as I decided not to upgrade past v6.
God forbid you get into 3D... last time I looked at 3DSMax...version 7 was $3,500 and I'm not even gonna think about stuff like Maya or Lightwave.

A 1 computer license of Maya is more than $8,000. I know because I was with one of my business contacts and he had to pick up a copy of the program from a film supply company in NYC.
