Blood has a natural red pigment in it, iron. When dried and powdered, and mixed with linseed oil, it will stain anything, like rust. Rust and blood are some of the most permanent pigments due to the fact they usually never come off.

Or powdered rust mixed with linseed oil. That way you don't have to use animal blood. why waste any part of a deer or bear, even the blood? You can use any part of an animal, bones, blood, organs, and fat and skin. That is the way my Native american ansestors did it.

That's pretty cool, dried blood doesn't have the ick and (hopefully) pathogen factor. The way the medium list was going down, my thoughts turned to more um...feminist artists making a scene.

That came from blood art? I meant using blood as paint, or pastel, or water color, not people bleeding.

All you do is get it into the mold make sure there are holes in the top with check valves, then put it into a big metal thing that cooks it as it uses low pressure to suck the water out, then close off all moisture, freeze it in the vaccum, then release the pressure but let no moisture in, still frozen. The thing is the casin would make it plactic like, hopefully keeping the sperm joined together.
