Are you comfortable with the curtains open and the lights on in your home at night? or, do you get a creepy feeling almost like being on a stage in a darkened theatre?

At night with the lights on in your room, it's really hard to see from inside who might be outside looking in through the window while they can see you very clearly from outside. My privacy is very important. There is no way I'd let anyone see me from outside while I'm relaxing at home. I even check from the outside myself if I can see inside through a crack of the curtains.

I make sure my windows are closed. If you have the lights on and it's dark outside, everyone can see everything you're doing!

I love nighttime air... especially when the day is hot. It's the perfect way to cool my room off and make it smell good.
As far as curtains, I kind of have to keep mine open to give my cat something to look at during the night. So, while I'm not extremely paranoid about people looking in, I still don't like the idea. I usually wait until I'm going to sleep with all the lights off to have the curtains open.

Yes, for reasons above and also because it is easier to sleep with the curtains drawn closed.

If somebody wants to watch me watching TV, that's fine with me. Of course, I close them if I'm not dressed. Also, there is a very bright streetlight right outside my front windows so I close the curtains if I want to sleep.

Don't give them ideas.

You mean ideas like, "What a boring life she has?" Or maybe, "She must be moving--she hardly has any furniture in there!"

I have 2 big noisy dogs, so if anybody wants to sneak in, they'd better be soundless, invisible and odorless--and/or armed.

I shut my curtains as soon as it gets dark enough to need to put the light on. My bedroom is downstairs, so if I have my light on (or a TV or anything else that gives out light), people can see right in through the nets, so as soon as it gets dusk, I close the curtains and don't open them 'til morning.

There are people in my neighbourhood who are crazy enough to give up their whole sunday to literally keep themselves busy doing annoying stuff like that to other people.

I don't have curtains on my windows again yet so I don't close them. Plus there isn't many light anyway from the outside. I can see the light from my husband's bedroom window but I can easily not see it when I keep my eyes closed.

I keep the curtains up and many of the lights on. I have this fear of people looking in on me. It's not that illogical either, since I live close to a bunch of nutty junkies and thieving homeless people who make attempts to steal our stuff off the porch.

I plug in my LED nightlights and keep my blinds open.
