Hello from Michigan!

Hi all!

My name is Alyssa, and I'm from Michigan. I'm currently a senior in highschool, and am taking college classes as well.

I joined this forum to learn about Asperger's, since there are at least two people in my life that I know have Asperger's syndrome, including my boyfriend of close to a year, who was diagnosed with it about two years ago now.

I came here hopefully to learn more about Asperger's, as it hasn't always been easy having someone with Asperger's as a boyfriend, especially as my first one, but it has been pretty well worth seeing into his world. I've tried to learn all I can about the syndrome, but reading about the symptoms of Asperger's only seems to do so much.

I actually didn't know what NT meant until I came here! I suppose you would consider me as such, though I do suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, with some social anxiety in the mix there. Not sure how that relates however.
