I have never seen the movie, but if the characters are indeed Aspies, and when combined with the fact that the movie takes place in Idaho, this movie would the best one of all time--if Animal House hadn't already claimed that title.

(I have a profound interest in Idaho, and was accepted to Boise State University).

I'm bumping this old thread because Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite movies.

Some guy once told me "Napoleon Dynamite is a film for people who like to laugh at the special people." and I said "No it isn't. Napoleon humiliates the bullies and attracts the cute girl at the end."

This movie may or may not represent Aspies but I'm sick of being compared to ND's character as it is ridiculous.

Most of the cast did!! They all has aspie traits, super-imposed by their individual personalities. The Gran, Kip, Uncle Rico, Napoleon, Deb (I loved this kid!), Pedro, and Lafawnda too. Not to mention the little guy that got neck choked by that bully asking for money. I loved them all!! The shaved-head guy that bullied everybody was ADHD.

I just thought he was incredibly stupid. I couldn't watch more than five minutes of that movie.

I'll admit it was not super humorous; however, I did find some humor in it if your able to sit through the tedious parts.
