I wouldn't mind a Cylon Starship, that thing is just weird and awesome looking, but then again it might accommodate my senses overloading, I'm not sure about the gooey baths though. Might have to replace that with showers.

Not baths, more like cloning/nutrient vats for storing unused body's and hybrids.
Does the 2009 movie really count as the same universe? It was an alternate timeline.
If I remember correctly, the nukes in BSG weren't nukes in the since of modern ICBMs, they had a variable yield, kind of like photon torpedoes. The yield can be dialed in from 5 to 150 kilotons per warhead.
And this isn't counting the fact that when the Galactica was modified with Cylon jump systems, she could jump in at point blank range, conceivably within the a star ship's shields.
The Enterprise-D shot down a missile in "The Price"

And a whole squadron of fighters in "Conundrum"

Plus, the USS Kelvin (which featured point defense systems) exists in both timelines.
I could be wrong, but doesn't it take time to calculate a FTL jump?
Also they'd have to be pretty close to the Star Ship to know where to set their coordinates, assuming they could jump past the shields in the first place.

I don't think a Battlestar stands much chance against a Federation Star Ship. The Star Ship would have too much technology IE. Transporters, that the Battlestar has no way to counter.

In a pinch they can jump to random coordinates, there is a chance of ending up inside a planet or star, but it's better then getting blown to small pieces.
I imagine as long as it apears on dradice they have it's coordinates.

In that case, the Star Ship will simply stay out of Dradis range. The Maximum weapons range of a Federation Star Ship is somewhere around 300,000 kilometers. ("The Wounded")
If that proves insufficient, the Star Ship could utilize the Picard Maneuver to get the drop on the Battlestar. It's doubtful that a Battlestar could survive a full spread of torpedoes.

I doubt that, since vipers would be able to take them out.

Also known as the save our asses maneuver, I only recall it being used once. But that is essentially what the Galactica would be doing when it jumped to point blank range.

If you like starships...

I recommend X3/Terran Conflict/Xtended Mod

It features BSG style combat, it's very complex and lotsa fun!

I used to play X3 reunion. Is it true that Xtended has ships more powerful than M1?

Starships/spaceships are some of my favourite aspects of Film/TV Science fiction, more from an aesthetic and an imaginative point of view than the technical. I love a beautifully designed spaceship.
This is my top twenty. I must confess certain I have not seen everything so there are probably large lacunae in my knowledge....I'm not well up on the ships of 'Farscape' for example. In ascending order....three little ones to start. No nood to title them surely, you'll know them all..
