I read a lot, but it depends whether your questions means novels or all kinds of literature. I read science magazines, encyclopediae and sometimes novels. It varies, but I read about three novels each week and concerning encyclopediae, it depends on its size.

I am a technical reader. I once obsessed on Scottish Coins.
I found a book on Isles, Scotland, Ireland Medieval coins to Classical
early AD period. I would dissect the Tails side, develop a tarot deck,
create genealogy codes and imagery and it's meaning. Just like a
puzzle.
I later obsessed on Roman Coins, symbology of the images
of the tail sides, and later learned about the Roman structure of society,
government, ect.
I dissected Harry Potter Books the same way, and so forth....!
I read for dissection value. My favorite was Parapsychology, or
how the mind percieves the envirement. I would see how early
brain studies, perception studies would later influence modern Psychology,
and Sciences. YOU HAVE TO LOVE....PIONEERS OF A NEW SCIENCE

I am very similar to that GhostHunter. I relish in the dissecting of great literature.

However, quite often I do enjoy to simply get lost in another realm presented to me by means of a book.

I read as often as I can muster. My mom used to joke that when all the other little kids were carrying dolls and teddy bears along with them everywhere, I was carrying around books.

Reading is a great gift, be it recreational(like your self) and technical
(like myself). Keep reading for your pleasure, leisure, and betterment.

I read whenever I have a spare moment. I am currently in the middle of reading four books, which are in various places around the house so there's always one nearby. I addition, I carry a bag with me that always has at least 3 hours of reading material.

Mockingbird.......Do you have difficulty multi-tasking and and stopping,
then (re-)muli-tasking? I have a friend to which we watch short movies
since he a little attention span. I HAVE TO WATCH BENHUR COMPLETELY
OR I will start over. He can watch in parts and have no problems catching
up.

I do not have problems multitasking at all, in fact I generally relax best while multitasking. This is probably because I have moderate AS and very severe ADHD, and some of the symptoms of the ADHD cancel out some of the symptoms of AS, like not being able to multitask. Related to this, I have no problems starting in the middle of something. My mind just seems to work better when it's full to the brim with lots of things.

Before this year i probably have never finished a book.

I bought Frank Herberts Dune about 2 years ago and only just finished it about a month ago.

After the satisfaction of completing it, i am now a full on reader. Gone through about 2 fictional novels since. I tend to read to every night before i sleep now, helps me sleep too as my eyes are normally screwed by the time i stop

Really enjoying reading now, its going to be a new hobby of mine. My next read is going to be "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" about the kid with Asperges who goes on a Sherlock Holmes type investigation :D
