As much as I can see where that conclusion could be reached, I have to disagree, as I have lots of friends with AS plus one of the components of the equation you listed.

It's very possible.

Let's go with NLD + C-PTSD or NLD + BPD = Asperger's (possibly me).

Or you could say Schizoid PD + OCD = Asperger's. In a child, it's likely that ODD/ASPD + OCD = Asperger's (me as a child). Finally, Schizotypal PD + OCD = Asperger's.

The problem is, at least under the DSM IV, fulfilling the first set of criteria (social communication) could happen with a variety of other conditions while OCD/NLD fulfills the second set of criteria in almost every case.

Which means the criteria are extremely flawed.
