The Half-Hanged Man, about his fortunes of war in France in the middle-ages. I'm on Kindle and can't find the author's name. A good read.

Awww... thanks! That photo of the cover doesn't do it justice but it's beautiful, and has over 100 coloured illustrations.
We might postpone for a few days this week and WH is a short book, only 200 pages ... (begs shamelessly) .... so if you change your mind let us know!

Hahah alright! I've just found a copy at our house but the thing i'm worried about is that i might slow you guys down since i'm studying a lot these days and might not have time.. Anyway i think the best thing we can do is: you can just start reading anytime you want and i'll join in when i can maybe?

"She Has Her Mother's Laugh" by Carl Zimmer. It's (non-fiction) about heredity and genetics, with CRISPR tossed in. Quite interesting so far.

I have just reread L.J. Adlington's excellent YA book "The diary of Pelly D", and am currently rereading "Cherry Heaven".

I'm currently re-reading Snowcrash by Neal Stephenson.

It's set in a near future dystopian America and follows the adventures of a free-lance hacker amusingly called Hiro Protagonist and a digital and human affecting drug called "Snowcrash" There are also themes of language, the tower of Babel and the world being significantly run eventually by corporate entities as well as governments.

It's a cracking read if you like tech styled cyber punk stories. It grips me more the further into it I get.

Just reread Mike Lancaster's 0,4.

Such a great read, reminiscent of yet so different from a certain story by Jack Finney.



Currently reading Parallel by Lauren Miller.
so far, so good.

Reading Stephen King's Needful Things for the first time. Hadn't read any Castle Rock novels/novellas/etc. prior to that, and I'm still barely starting (58 pages in) so aside from the description I really know nothing about it. I'd like to get into the other Castle Rock books at some point, too.
