Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. I really enjoy her treatment of multi-bodied intelligences, and she plays with gender in a fun way.

I was so pleased with The Royal Ghost (which I got for free from Kindle) that I actually spent $1.99 for An Unquiet Ghost , both Mina Scarletti Mystery books, by Linda Stratmann.

Admittedly they are light, but quality light. The characters are very good, plotting unpredictable and interesting.

I'm still re-reading The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut - this must be the dozenth time but it startled me again! As always, it's all about me! How did he know, how did he know?

I still yearn for a book in every room. But I'm fixing which book is on which screen, and putting a laptop or Kindle in each room. Oh, I'm living in the past.

The Mist, by Stephen King.

So far so good novella.

Currently, I'm reading Christopher Hitchen's Why Orwell Matters

I read "Arguably" which is just a collection of Hitchen's essays. I swear he mentions George Orwell in nearly every single essay, and the book is over 700 pages long. It's was actually kind of funny.

I prefer his brother, Peter Hitchens. I picked up a copy of Rage against God earlier, which I'll read shortly.

Sounds interesting. I always had a thing for folks like Hitchens and Orwell.
