A book called "we regret to inform you " . About a girl that got rejected from all schools.

I have put aside "She Has Her Mother's Laugh" and have just started "The Winter Fortress" by Neal Bascombe. It is about a daring raid on a heavy water plant in Norway during WWII. Looks fantastic. It is amazing all the history I never learned in school. Of course there was just so much occurring all over back then.

I am re-reading Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson. It's been a long time since I picked it up. I forgot, the story weaves in the internment of the Japanese Americans during WWII. I remember thinking we (US) would never to that again. Chilling in light of current affairs.

Just finished two thrillers:

Alex Sinclair: The day I lost you

Throughout the book all the mentions about how sweet and innocent, and small/tiny/little the kid was, really annoyed me. It was so overly mentioned that sighed my way through it. I didn't expect the book to be a keeper. Then the twist near the end. OMG, did not see that coming!


Alex Lake: Copy Cat

it didn't waste any time getting to the point, which I love, slow burners going nowhere or taking forever to get there isn't anything I have the patience for. It was exciting and kept me hooked and guessing, and entertained throughout the book.
