Has anyone else had experience of having autism and living in supported housing in the UK?

I have Asperger's and severe mental health problems and I've been in supported housing for four and a half years.

I can say I hate it and I'm trying to move out.

The social demands placed on me are too high (people - I just want to live on my own). And I cannot cope with the noise of other people. Also nobody in this house nor the carers understand autism.

I am sinking into a depression as a result of the stress, and my OCD, voices and paranoia are getting rapidly worse.

EDIT: additional - supported housing has taught me some independence and has taken me away from my abusive mother though. And I haven't been hospitalised for 19 months now.

Sorry to hear that. :( The noise thing is putting me off living in supported housing.
