I was going to say something else, but you hit that right on the nose.

Yes, I forget to eat, especially if I am getting caught up in one of my special interests. I will look up at the clock, realise I have missed lunchtime, and think "oh well, I'll just have an early dinner". Then I'll miss dinner time too, and end up going to bed without eating.

When I moved in with my husband and he actually started putting food in front of me three times a day I put on about 20lb / 10kg.

I do the exact same thing, and I've noticed that I am already 40 pounds lighter after being single for a year now. When I was married I didn't eat unless he reminded me to cook when it was my night and I was caught up in a special interest or he cooked. I would sometimes have to set an alarm on my cell phone to remind me to start dinner if he was still at work, and even when it was made, I would still skip it sometimes because I had lost my appetite while having to deal with the overwhelming smells from cooking the meal for an hour or two.

I do forget sometimes, and I will put it off sometimes, but this was much more classic for me at a younger age. At other times I am a bit of a gourmand, and I can really eat when I put my mind to it.

I did alot when I gradated high-school & my parents got our 1st computer & internet. I got so caught up in that I would forget but I usually only ate one big meal a day due to being a very picky eater & I didn't eat at a consistent time anyways. I don't forget nowadays but I usually eat at a somewhat consistent schedule; I kind of need to have a schedule due to medication & vitamins.
