Then why post anything? There is no guarantee that people will be fascinated.
you asked for potential respondents to post "most interesting videos". the wording of that implies, by default, that the response videos should be the most interesting videos appealing to the widest audience.
maybe your topic should have been worded "Post videos that you find the most interesting". (i think i said that last night, but considering i am in the act of typing my reply, i can not be bothered firing up another tab to check what i said last night).
if someone posted a topic titled "What are the best songs ever created", i would think that many people would be modest enough to refrain from presuming that their quality of judgement could justify their responses, and i would expect a thread titled in that way to be rather sparsely active and short lived.
if, on the other hand, if the thread was titled "what is the song that you like the most", it would immediately become a dumping ground for a plethora of music videos posted by people who wish to foist their tastes upon the table of inspection.
i have been enthralled by many videos (thousands of them) that i know would not appeal to anyone i cared to show them to.
the attention spans of humans are very fickle. they are tenuously attached to what is their idea of the "glitziest" thing in their field of vision. there is usually some social ulterior motive behind their interests in what i show them. i am not caught in the world of worry that no one else is interested in the peculiar things i am interested in.
